3 Year Olds
Three year olds seek to master their own foreign language-based universe. Our curriculum develops student confidence in foreign language while tackling educational prerequisites including more advanced fine and gross motor skills, peer interactions, and self expression. Learning occurs through exploration, hands-on experimentation, and engaging all of the senses. The classroom is rich in letters and numbers to encourage reading and writing. During the year, scribbles evolve into letters. Logical reasoning skills emerge as the children play and interact. Puzzles illustrate how a whole object can be separated into parts and reassembled. Children classify and sort objects, one characteristic at a time. They strenghthen their math conceptualization with the understanding of one to one correspondence. The classroom presents frequent opportunities for dramatic role play to encourage the children to become involved in imaginative scenarios. Music and instruments are used to develop beat, tempo and pitch. The three year olds begin to understand the cause and effects of feelings.
