Transition to Elementary School¡HolaKids! students are well prepared for the environment that their parents choose for Kindergarten placement. Our families are equally distributed among public (with a strong preference for immersion programs), parochial and independent schools including: Hamlin, Waldorf, San Francisco Friends School, Children’s Day School, San Francisco School, Brandeis Hillel Day School, San Francisco Day School, Katherine Delmar Burke School, St Vincent de Paul, Marin Preparatory, The Berkeley School and Lycée Francais.
Our students transitioning into Kindergarten obtain outstanding results by passing their public school fluency language assessment tests. Parents also enthusiastically report back that their child is well-prepared for the academic and social requirements of the Kindergarten classroom. |

"We are really grateful how well my son was taken care of at ¡HolaKids!. I see him getting accepted to FAIS as part of ¡HolaKids! success. FAIS is hard to get in even with sibling priority. I would have loved him to stay one more year but his father didn’t want to miss this opportunity. Hope he won’t forget the Spanish he learned and will love his new teachers as much as he loves ¡HolaKids! teachers." - Aylin
“We adore ¡HolaKids!. I appreciate all the hard work they put into creating a challenging, caring and flourishing environment for the children – thank you so incredibly much.” - Shareen “The environment there is so amazing and she is learning so much. Her Spanish is really advancing just in the short time she has attended." - Anne "I would recommend ¡HolaKids! strongly to families that appreciate Latin culture, Spanish immersion, and child focused learning. Because of the small nurturing environment, it is likely that a kid who finishes ¡HolaKids! will be confident and emotionally secure which would allow him/her to attend almost any school be it traditional, progressive, etc. Knowing that graduates got into some of the more elite elementary schools in the city (i.e. Hamlin, Friends, Brandeis) is a selling point on which I would also base a recommendation.” - Nanea "I want to share some complimentary news with you. Our son just tested at TECA and the teachers said his Spanish is above grade level. A testament to the wonderful work of ¡HolaKids!. We will miss you!!" - Bree "I am sad to realize that today is our daughter's last day at ¡HolaKids!. It has been a wonderful experience for her, and we love the school and the community. Thank you for your kindness, warmth and for the wonderful educational experience. We will think of you whenever she sings 'Buenos Dias, Buenos Dias, Como Estas?' to herself quietly, or vigorously, in the back of the car (which is often)." - Kim "Our daughter did wonderfully on her fluency test and having her HolaKids teacher along meant the world to her and us. Her teacher was so generous and gracious to meet up with us -- she even brought a little gift for our daughter before her test. It made our daughter not only feel special but comfortable in a new environment. The care and attention that the maestros are giving our kids is outstanding. Thank you so much for helping to make that happen!” - Anthony & Caricia "We LOVED our time at ¡HolaKids! and I can’t wait for our younger kid, to start. I actually cried on our daughter's last day. The cultural components of your program are outstanding as are the teachers. We couldn’t have been happier." - April "We've loved every last minute at HolaKids. It's given us a foundation of Spanish learning for our daughter that I will continue for the rest of her education -- it's priceless! Such a gift. In Kansas City, she'll be entering a dual-language preschool as soon as we move, and we're planning to get into a Spanish immersion charter school for kindergarten next year. We couldn't love our teachers at Laurel Hill more. Thank you!! - Janette |
